Franklin Cudjoe, CEO of IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, has demanded the removal of Attorney General Godfred Dame after a controversial audio recording surfaced.
The audio, released by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), allegedly features Dame discussing a strategy to influence testimony in a high-profile financial crime case involving Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and Richard Jakpa. The two are accused of causing a €2.37 million financial loss to the state.

In the leaked audio, Dame purportedly advises Jakpa to miss a court session to align with his travel plans.
Franklin Cudjoe, who had previously defended the Attorney General, expressed regret for his stance and called for Dame’s resignation on social media.
“I was wrong to doubt the Attorney General’s involvement in this scandal. He must step down,” Cudjoe stated. He also reaffirmed his earlier assertion that Ato Forson’s trial was politically motivated.
