Prof. Emmanuel Kwesi Aning, a security consultant in risk analysis, has underscored the importance of stakeholders working together to ensure free and fair elections in December.

He emphasized that the nation and its stakeholders must implement targeted interventions, rather than simply assuming that the December elections will be free and fair without deliberate efforts.
Prof. Aning shared these insights during an interview with Bernard Avle on Point of View on Channel One TV on Monday, where the discussion focused on “Building Trust for Credible and Peaceful Election 2024.”
“We tend in this country to have this notion that getting to free, fair, credible, and hopefully acceptable electoral outcomes just happens. My argument is that they do not.”
“As a nation and stakeholders, we need to be very specific in the interventions that we undertake, but even more importantly, we must work towards those outcomes. Where we see that we are going wrong, we must be bold enough to call out that we are doing something wrong and that we need to change it,” he stated.
