Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah, Chairman of the NPP Manifesto’s Economic Sub-Committee, has praised the government’s Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, highlighting its positive impact on students and families nationwide.

He noted that Free SHS has greatly eased the financial burden on parents while expanding educational access for young Ghanaians.
This, he claims, has led many beneficiaries to show strong support for the NPP as the elections approach.
“People are happy; those who have benefited from Free SHS are lining up to vote for the NPP. These things mean a great deal to people,” he remarked.
Speaking on The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV, Monday, November 11, Dr. Assibey-Yeboah responded to critiques that the NPP has underperformed since 2017.
He pointed to progress in agriculture, social interventions, and other key areas as proof of the government’s dedication to its promises.
Additionally, he noted that Free SHS has eased requests for financial aid from MPs, allowing families greater financial freedom and reducing pressure on legislators.
