The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have dismissed allegations from a viral audio circulating on social media, which claimed that a civilian pick-up truck was allowed into the Magazine at the 5th Battalion of Infantry to transport ammunition to an undisclosed location.
In a press release issued on December 25, 2024, by the Department of Public Relations at the General Headquarters in Burma Camp, Accra, GAF assured the public that the allegations were completely false and should be ignored.

The statement clarified that the vehicle in question was delivering a live cow, which was undergoing quarantine before being moved to a kraal near the Magazine.
GAF urged the public to verify information about the security services before sharing unverified claims that could create unnecessary panic and fear.
The Armed Forces reminded the public that their doors are always open for inquiries and encouraged individuals to contact the Department of Public Relations for accurate and reliable information.
GAF reiterated its unwavering commitment to protecting the nation’s stability and sovereignty and called on citizens to avoid actions, whether intentional or accidental, that could threaten the peace of the country.
