The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is scheduled to meet with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo on November 27, 2024, to review his technical report on Ghana’s unsuccessful 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign.

The meeting will also assess the performance of Addo and his technical team since his reappointment earlier this year.
Addo, who signed a three-year contract in March 2024 for his second term as Black Stars coach, has come under intense scrutiny after Ghana failed to qualify for AFCON for the first time in 20 years. With only two wins in 10 matches under his leadership, his tenure has been marked by disappointment.
Although Ghana is joint-top of Group I in the World Cup qualifiers with two vital wins over Mali and Central African Republic, the AFCON campaign ended in failure. The Black Stars did not win any of their six matches and finished last in Group F, leading to widespread backlash and calls for Addo’s dismissal.
In response to the AFCON setback, the GFA dissolved the Black Stars Management Committee on Wednesday as part of a restructuring plan.
The upcoming meeting with Addo will play a key role in shaping the team’s direction as Ghana prepares for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers starting in March 2025.
