The Ghana Audit Service has officially opened a district office in Dodowa, located in the Greater Accra Region. This new office is part of the service’s broader strategy to expand its operations nationwide.

As part of this initiative, three regional offices and 15 district offices have also been inaugurated.

The new facilities, including the state-of-the-art complex in Dodowa, are designed to enhance auditing processes, improve service delivery, and strengthen oversight of public funds.

Additionally, the Dodowa office will serve as the operational hub for the Audit Service in the Greater Accra Region.

Speaking at the inauguration Greater Accra Regional Minister Daniel Titus Glover explained that the decision feeds into an agenda to decentralize government operations.

On his part, auditor General Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu indicated that the establishment of such offices is in line with Ghana audit service’s commitment to improving the quality of audits and reinforcing its role in protecting the public purse.
