Ghana coach Otto Addo expressed his frustration after the Black Stars were held to a goalless draw by Sudan in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Thursday.

The result puts Ghana in a challenging position, as they need to win their remaining matches to secure qualification for the tournament in Morocco.
In a media briefing following the game, Addo lamented the missed opportunities but remained optimistic about Ghana’s chances in the next match.
“Sudan was very lucky today,” he stated. “In the next game, they won’t be as fortunate.”
The Black Stars dominated play at the Accra Sports Stadium but struggled to convert their chances.
Key players like Mohammed Kudus, Inaki Williams, and Antoine Semenyo all failed to find the net, while Sudan’s defense held firm.
The draw leaves Ghana in third place in Group F, making Monday’s rematch against Sudan in Libya a must-win for their qualification hopes.
