Insecurity in the country is out of control and it is getting worse each and every day. Numerous recorded cases of daylight robberies in the country is on the rise due to the economic situation.

As the country battles with high-rising coronavirus cases, accompanied by overpriced coronavirus vaccine saga, robberies have continued to rip poor Ghanaians of their hard-earned Cedis with no one to come to their aid.

For a case study, a robbery occured right in front  of the police headquarters, where a forex bureau was attacked and someone was killed without the culprits being arrested – as at the time of filing this report.

Another incident occured at Pig Farm, where another person was shot and killed by armed robbers.

Recently, a policeman was also killed while he was performing his duty.

At Cape Coast, when the President was being givenva honors degree award, in his speech, he revealed that per the statistics on ground Ghana is wallowing in insecurity. He made a comparison between armed robbery cases in the first quarter of this year and that of last year, which barely showed significant differences.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante Apeatu has assured the public that the police are on the hunt for these criminals, and will be brought to book when arrested. He went ahead to urge the public to be of assistance in their apprehension, including placing bounties on their heads.
