Ghana mourns the loss of lawyer Nana Serwah Godson-Amamoo

A distinguished lawyer and partner at AB & David Africa, one of Ghana’s leading law firms, Nana Serwah Godson-Amamoo, has sadly passed away in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

According to a report made by asaaseradio.com, she lost consciousness concisely after returning to her hotel following a scuba diving trip.

Nana Serwah, with more than 19 years of experience in the energy and extractive industries, was widely respected in her field.

She reportedly served as a partner in AB & David Africa’s Natural Resources and Extractive Industries Practice Group, representing clients in a variety of issues concerning natural resources, energy, mining, and other extractive industries.

She also had a broad range of expertise in legal and strategic fields, including acquisitions, structuring deals, supporting negotiations, developing projects, forming joint ventures, and considering local content in these sectors.

Additionally, Nana Serwah was reported to have headed the Government Business and Regulations Practice Group at the firm, where she played a vital role in advising African governments on initiatives for public sector organizational and policy reform.

Development of industry legislation, capacity-building efforts, and support for enhancing systems and human resources were part of her contributions.
