In a heartfelt handing-over address, the outgoing CO, Prosper Cudjoe Korto, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the unit and thanked the Naval High Command for their trust. He also praised the dedication and commitment of the unit’s personnel, urging them to offer the same support to the incoming CO.

“I assumed office with humility, knowing that many before me had steered this ship successfully, and I strived to continue in their footsteps,” he said. He encouraged Commander Dennison to embrace challenges with teamwork, discipline, and dedication, assuring her of success in her new role.
Commander Korto also acknowledged the contributions of corporate institutions that supported key infrastructural projects during his tenure.
Rear Admiral Samuel Agyenim-Boateng, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics at the General Headquarters, commended Commander Korto for his remarkable leadership.
He emphasized that the success of any military unit relies on strong leadership and unwavering commitment. Commander Korto has now assumed the role of Command Supply Officer at the Western Naval Command.

He expressed satisfaction at the successes chalked by Commander Korto in terms of infrastructural development reflecting his commitment to improving the operational efficiency of GNSB.
Rear Admiral Agyenim-Boateng entreated the new Commanding Officer to take up responsibilities and challenges to the best of her ability as a leader to attain much greater success.
“The success of the unit will depend on your ability to inspire, coordinate, and ensure efficiency in logistics operations,” he said.
He also encouraged all Officers, Ratings and Defence Civilian Staff to accord her the same support and commitment to advance the vision of the GNSB.
Commander Sabina Dennison, the new CO of the GNSB, in her acceptance speech, expressed her gratitude towards his position and pledged to uphold the confidence reposed in her.
She acknowledged the remarkable leadership of her predecessor and promised to do her very best with the help of God and her team to build upon his achievements.
