The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of six additional suspects in connection with the attack on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency office.
This brings the total number of arrested suspects to seven, following the arrest of Judith Trisy, a female suspect, on Monday, July 8, 2024.

The latest arrests, announced on Facebook on Thursday, July 11, 2024, occurred on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, and include Abdulai Victoria Naematu Nadolie, Theophilus Kodzo Bedzra, Alhaji Issah Kamara, Hope Adzrah, Francis Agbessi Funu, and Christian Biakuse.
According to the police, the six suspects are in custody and assisting with the investigation.
The NPP has alleged that the attack was orchestrated by the NDC Constituency Women’s Organizer, Victoria Naematu Nadolie Abdulai, and Youth Organizer, Theophilus Kodzo Bedzrah, who led a group of people to storm the NPP’s campaign office at Dzorwulu.
The incident resulted in severe injuries to the NPP Constituency Organizer, Agyenim Boateng, and damage to property.
The NPP Constituency Secretary, Alhaji Issah Sawadogo, stated that the attack occurred on Sunday, July 7, 2024, around 4:30 PM, during a meeting at the NPP’s Dzorwulu office.
He alleged that the attackers, who were armed with weapons and filming equipment, forcefully entered the meeting hall and attacked the attendees.
The NPP has condemned the attack as an affront to democracy and has called on the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and bring the perpetrators to book.
The party has also expressed shock at the involvement of the NDC Women’s Organizer and Youth Organizer in the attack.
The police have assured the public that all suspects will be arrested and brought to justice, and the investigation is ongoing.
