The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Maame Efua Houadjeto, has secured a strategic partnership with the State Transport Company (STC) to deploy five dedicated shuttle buses to support the movement of event attendees and visitors during this peak December in the GH season.

This decisive move is part of GTA’s broader effort to ease transportation pressure across the city, improve accessibility to major hotspots, and ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for both domestic and international revellers.

The CEO described the arrangement as “a timely and practical intervention to support the influx of visitors and maintain the smooth flow that December in GH is known for.”

The shuttle buses will operate on clearly defined routes to connect key communities and high-traffic corridors to major event zones. The routes are as follows:

SHUTTLE ROUTES

Route 1:
Prampram → Dawhenya → Tema Roundabout → Drop-off at 37

Route 2:
Oyarifa → Adenta Barrier → Madina → Drop-off at 37

Route 3:
Pokuase (Pick-Up Zone) → Ofankor Barrier → Achimota → Drop-off at Circle

Route 4:
Kasoa → Drop-off at Circle

Route 5:
Accra Mall → Black Star Square

The GTA CEO emphasised that this initiative reflects the Authority’s commitment to visitor comfort, safety, and convenience, while also reducing congestion around the city’s entertainment hubs.

GTA encourages patrons to take advantage of these shuttle services as they enjoy the events and activities lined up for December in GH.
