Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Abura Asebu-Kwamankese, claims that Ghana experienced its most successful economic period under the NDC government.

He pointed to the NDC’s economic achievements, particularly from 2009 to 2012, which he described as the best in the nation’s history.
Speaking on the “Point of View” program on Channel One TV, Kwakye Ofosu emphasized that the economy would be the central issue for voters in the upcoming December elections.
“This election will be centered on the economy, which is the top priority. The reality is that the best economic period in this republic occurred under the NDC between 2009 and 2012,” he stated.
He also highlighted that the NDC government achieved the highest ever economic growth rate of 14.4%.
Kwakye Ofosu further noted the NDC’s success in maintaining low inflation rates during their tenure, saying, “We kept inflation at single digits for 33 consecutive months, something unprecedented in our history.”
