On Tuesday, June 25, the National Film Authority (NFA) announced the winners of the Creation Africa and CLAP ACP2 Co-production Grant at the Accra Tourist Information Center.

This initiative, championed by the NFA, aims to foster collaboration and innovation in Ghana’s film industry, with partners including the French Embassy, Creation Africa, and the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).

Out of numerous submissions, three film production companies were selected for grants:

Driving Park Limited (€80,000) for “A Dream to Die For”, a project tackling illegal mining;

Adjoa Films (€5,000) for “Regulated Minds”, a film exploring men’s vulnerability and mental health;

and Midnight Run Productions (€5,000) for “Tantra”, a horror film set in Accra’s nightlife.

In an interview with Joy FM, NFA CEO Juliet Asantewaa explained that the selection process prioritized co-productions, among other key factors, from a pool of many applicants.

The grants aim to support innovative storytelling and collaboration in Ghana’s film industry.
