Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah has urged his teammates to remain determined and focused as they prepare for a critical 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.

With Ghana’s qualification hopes hanging by a thread after four winless games, Mensah stressed the importance of a win in this must-win match.
Ghana is at the bottom of Group F with two draws and two losses, and a defeat or draw in the upcoming game would end their chances of qualifying for the tournament for the first time in 20 years.
Despite the tough situation, Mensah remains resolute, insisting that the team must secure victory in their remaining matches.
“It’s a bit difficult as it stands, but that’s why we are players, and we represent the country. We can’t give up, and we can’t say it’s done,” Mensah said in an interview with 3Sports.
He emphasized that winning the next two games is non-negotiable, and the Black Stars must do whatever it takes to keep their AFCON dream alive.
Ghana’s upcoming match against Angola will take place at the 11 de Novembro Stadium at 7 pm local time.
