Gospel musician Esther Smith has urged gospel artists to prioritize their commitment to God’s ministry over seeking fame.

She emphasized that the core of the ministry is to minister Christ and preach the gospel, and thus gospel musicians should take their work seriously.
Smith highlighted that the industry faces numerous spiritual and physical challenges, making it crucial for gospel singers to remain dedicated to their calling.
“I always say that when it comes to gospel music, we should take it seriously.
It’s not I want to be famous; I want everybody to see me. We should take its serious because there are so many attacks in it,” she said in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
“When it comes to hiplife, they are going on their way but when it comes to praises and worship, you are ministering Christ, the anointed one to the people,” she added.
