Marriage counselor Linda Mante has urged singles to prioritize the substance of their relationships over superficial appearances.

Speaking during the first service of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) West Hills on Sunday, she addressed the theme “Keys for Unlocking Greatness in Relationships, Marriage, and Family Life.”

Mrs. Mante emphasized that genuine connections are grounded in mutual respect, understanding, and shared values, rather than being based on external factors like physical appearance or material wealth.

She highlighted the importance of self-awareness and personal growth as essential components in forming and maintaining healthy relationships.

In her advice to singles, Mrs. Mante encouraged patience and the importance of seeking partners who appreciate them for who they truly are, rather than for their external attributes.

“Start right and marry right by focusing on the content, not the packaging,” she stated.

Adding “God intends for marriage to be a lifelong covenant, not a contract.

God intends for marriage to be a source of companionship and mutual support, where both partners find joy and work together to fulfil their divine purposes and God intends for marriage to extend beyond the couple to impact future generations.”
