A new poll by Global InfoAnalytics shows mixed reactions to the government’s recent cocoa price cuts, with cocoa farmers more supportive than the public.
The survey, shared on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, found that nearly half of voters, which is about 44%, consider the new cocoa prices fair, 31% say they are unfair, and 26% are neutral.
Among cocoa farmers, 56% believe the prices are fair, 11% see them as unfair, and 33% are neutral.
Regional analysis reveals higher disapproval in several areas. Voters in Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono, Greater Accra, Northern, and Western North regions view the prices as unfair, with Western North recording the highest dissatisfaction at 62%.
Political affiliation also shapes opinions. Among New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters, 53% say the price is unfair, compared with only 14% of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters.
Floating voters are split, with 29% finding it unfair. Conversely, 24% of NPP supporters, 61% of NDC supporters, and 42% of floating voters see the prices as fair.
