Glovo announces closure of Ghana operations

Glovo, the popular food delivery and courier service, has made the difficult decision to close its operations in Ghana, effective May 10th, 10:00 pm. This means that the customer app will no longer be available for placing orders in Ghana.

Despite recognizing the potential of the Ghana market, Glovo has decided to redirect its resources towards its operations in other countries, where it can better serve its millions of customers. The company cited the need for substantial investment over an extended period to build a stronger position in the market and achieve profitability.

Glovo has assured its partners and customers that all outstanding payments will be processed in due time, in accordance with its Terms and Conditions. Additionally, all stores will be automatically set to accept credit and cash orders to reconcile all affected entities.

The company’s dedicated business team will continue to support its partners in Ghana over the coming month to ensure a smooth transition and address any questions or concerns.

This closure marks the end of Glovo’s operations in Ghana, but the company remains committed to serving its customers in its other 23 operating countries.
