Bibiani Gold Stars goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi says his side is fully prepared to take on Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Champion of Champions match.
The annual fixture will see the Ghana Premier League champions, Gold Stars, face FA Cup winners Kotoko on Sunday, August 31, at 15:00 GMT at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani.

The encounter comes just weeks after both clubs featured in the GHALCA Top 4 tournament, where Gold Stars emerged winners. Kotoko, however, endured a disappointing campaign, finishing bottom after losing all three matches, including a 2-1 defeat to Gold Stars in the opening game.

Speaking to the club’s media team, Kobi expressed confidence in his side’s readiness for the challenge.
“Once we have been able to lift the Ghana Premier League, we are not scared of any team. We are ready to face Kotoko, and we must aim to win the Champion of Champions Cup,” he said.
Gold Stars, who are also preparing for their CAF Champions League campaign against Algerian side JS Kabylie on September 19, see the clash as a key test of their form ahead of continental football.
