Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to creating a transparent and enabling environment for British investments that align with the region’s development priorities.
Her assurance followed a high-level courtesy call by the British High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Christian Rogg, at the Greater Accra Regional Co-ordinating Council, where discussions centred on strengthening bilateral cooperation at the regional level.
In a post after the meeting, the Minister described the engagement as a reflection of the enduring partnership between Ghana and the United Kingdom, noting that both sides explored practical ways the relationship could be leveraged to accelerate growth and development within the Greater Accra Region.
The discussions, according to her, prioritised urban resilience and economic diversification, with particular attention on improving local governance systems and addressing waste management challenges through UK-backed technical expertise.
The talks also focused on youth entrepreneurship, with both parties examining collaborative frameworks to support innovation and job creation among young people in Accra as part of broader economic diversification efforts.
