Erling Haaland showcased his exceptional talent with a stunning performance, scoring twice as Manchester City secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Sparta Prague in the UEFA Champions League.

This win at the Etihad Stadium extends City’s unbeaten run in this season’s competition.

Haaland’s first goal came midway through the second half, where he executed an impressive acrobatic backheel volley from a cross by Savinho.

Despite being thwarted on two occasions by Sparta’s goalkeeper Peter Vindahl, he finally broke through, adding excitement to the match after City had initially struggled to extend their lead.

Phil Foden opened the scoring for City just three minutes into the game with a precise shot into the bottom corner.

Despite creating numerous opportunities, the team only held a narrow lead at halftime, largely due to Vindahl’s remarkable saves against both Foden and Haaland.

The second half saw Haaland ignite City’s performance, leading to John Stones scoring a powerful header to make it 3-0.

Haaland then added his second with a composed curled finish, marking his 44th Champions League goal at just 24 years old. Matheus Nunes completed the rout with a late penalty, scoring his first Champions League goal.

With this win, Manchester City maintains a strong position in their group, having secured two victories and a draw so far in the competition.
