Mona Montrage, known as Hajia4Reall, has had her ankle monitor removed after her legal team requested its temporary removal for an MRI scan.
Her lawyer, Eleana Fast, made the request due to pain in Montrage’s left ankle, providing medical documentation to support the request.
The court granted the request, and the ankle monitor was removed on the same day.
In a separate development, Montrage’s legal team requested a two-week adjournment for her sentencing, which was initially scheduled for April 24, 2024.

The team needed more time to gather necessary documents, including letters of support and a letter from her immigration attorney regarding potential immigration consequences.
The court granted the request and rescheduled the sentencing for June 28, 2024.
Montrage had pleaded guilty to count 5, conspiracy to receive stolen money, which carries a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment.
She agreed to repay the stolen amount of $2,164,758.41 and was given the option to surrender her valued properties for payment.
Investigations revealed that Montrage had allegedly taken over $2 million from six victims using five bank accounts, maintaining five foreign bank accounts in three different banks in the Bronx, New York, under fictitious business entities.
She used these accounts to accumulate money obtained from her victims.
Montrage’s legal team, led by Eleana Fast, has been working diligently to prepare for her sentencing.
Despite their efforts, they required additional time to gather all necessary documents, including outstanding letters of support and a letter from her immigration attorney.
The court granted the request, and Montrage’s sentencing is now scheduled for June 28, 2024. If convicted, she faces up to five years imprisonment and additional penalties.
