Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane made history with a four-goal performance in a 9-2 rout of Dinamo Zagreb, becoming England’s all-time top scorer in Champions League and European Cup history.

Harry Kane surpassed Wayne Rooney’s record, reaching 33 goals in the Champions League with his third penalty of the night during Bayern Munich’s 9-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb.

Kane’s four goals also marked his 50th to 53rd goals for Bayern in just 50 games.

Bayern took charge early with Raphael Guerreiro’s stunning half-volley and Michael Olise’s debut brace.

Dinamo briefly rallied with two quick goals, but Bayern regained control as Kane scored from a rebound and added two more penalties.

Further goals from Leroy Sané and Leon Goretzka capped off the second-highest-scoring Champions League game in history.

Thomas Müller made his 152nd Champions League appearance, setting a record for the most appearances for a single club.

Kane’s nine goals in five games have been crucial to Bayern’s impressive start to the season under manager Vincent Kompany.
