Health Minister Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu addressed a range of significant healthcare initiatives during his recent press briefing at the Moi Press Centre. In his comprehensive presentation, he underscored pivotal policies, strategic plans in healthcare, and forthcoming legislation that his department is diligently working on.

Among the key topics covered in his briefing were healthcare agendas aligned with global goals, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the overarching aim of ensuring high-quality healthcare services accessible to all citizens, irrespective of their geographical location.

Minister Agyeman placed particular emphasis on the alignment of these policies with robust legislative frameworks and strategic collaborations aimed at fortifying the nation’s healthcare institutions. These measures, he stressed, are essential to enable these institutions to effectively fulfill their mandates and ultimately enhance the well-being of the populace.

Furthermore, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu conveyed the government’s commitment to revisiting the national health policy. This revision, he explained, seeks to ensure that it is in harmony with the national agenda, incorporating the latest developments and other pertinent policies. The overarching goal of this endeavor is to align Ghana with its roadmap towards achieving universal health coverage by the year 2030.
