Hearts of Oak manager, Aboubakar Ouattara, has called on his players to maintain unity and continue working together as a team, despite their recent improvement in form.

After a rocky start to the 2024/25 season, which saw the Phobians suffer defeats to Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions in their opening matches, Ouattara’s side has made a remarkable recovery.
The team picked up their first win in matchday three against Bechem, but their season remained inconsistent, with a mix of three draws, one win, and one loss.
However, their recent three-match winning streak has lifted Hearts into the top four of the Ghana Premier League, just four points behind league leaders Nations FC. This newfound form has raised hopes for a stronger second round, as the team looks to build momentum.
Ouattara, who has been working to instill a sense of cohesion and discipline within the squad, acknowledged the individual talents of his players but stressed the importance of teamwork.
“The talent is there, but we are trying to focus on building teamwork. It’s not easy, but through hard work and unity, we can grow as a team. The individual skills are important, but working together is the key to our success,” Ouattara said.
The coach emphasized that although the team’s recent run of form has been impressive, they must stay grounded and continue developing their team chemistry.
Hearts of Oak will next face Nsoatreman at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, with the goal of extending their winning streak to four matches.
Following that, the Phobians will prepare for a challenging encounter with Asante Kotoko, which promises to be a crucial fixture in their quest for a top position in the league standings.
