A Koforidua High Court has granted an order for substituted service, directing that a writ of summons be served on Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the 1st respondent, through public channels.

The order was issued after court bailiffs were unable to serve the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri with the summons. Despite a previous directive to explore all possible means, neither Annoh-Dompreh nor Electoral Commission officials from the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency appeared in court on January 23, 2025.

The case, filed by National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate Fummey Selorm Philibert and his legal team, contests the Electoral Commission’s declaration of Annoh-Dompreh as the MP-elect for Nsawam Adoagyiri.

Presiding Judge, His Lordship Justice George Krofa Addae, granted the substituted service through multiple platforms, including the Nsawam Adoagyiri High Court, Magistrate Court, Circuit Court, and community radio station Fawe FM, which will broadcast announcements three times.

Additionally, five information centers in the constituency will broadcast the notice, and copies will be posted on three major public notice boards, the New Patriotic Party’s constituency office, and Annoh-Dompreh’s official residence.

The court has adjourned the case to March 14, 2025.

Speaking to Citi News, NDC Constituency Secretary Noah Agbeko Dumenya accused Annoh-Dompreh of deliberately evading service, stating that justice will prevail for the people of Nsawam Adoagyiri.
