An Accra High Court is scheduled to deliver a ruling on the interlocutory injunction filed by Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Amenfi Central Constituency, against the Electoral Commission (EC) on October 31, 2024.

Joana Gyan Cudjoe and the NDC submitted the injunction on October 17, 2024, to prevent the EC from printing the Notice of Poll and ballot papers for the Amenfi Central seat, following her disqualification by the commission.
During a court session on October 24, Lawyer Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, representing Joana Gyan Cudjoe, moved the motion to injunct the EC from proceeding with the printing.
However, the EC’s legal counsel opposed the application.
The presiding judge directed both attorneys to agree on a date for the ruling. Lawyer Tamakloe proposed October 31, which was subsequently accepted by both parties.
The plaintiffs argue that the injunction is crucial to suspend the electoral process in the constituency until the court resolves significant legal matters related to the elections.
Their application seeks to prevent the EC from taking any further actions until all legal issues are thoroughly addressed.
