Augustine Addo, also known as Lamar, the CEO and founder of Bouncers with Degree, has shared the story behind the creation of his security services company.
In an interview with Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360, Lamar explained that his journey began in 2015 while he was a student at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).
At the time, Lamar and his friend Solomon were known as the only two heavily built men on campus and were approached to provide security for artists and dignitaries at school events.
While working part-time as a bouncer, Lamar was also employed full-time at a bank and continuing his studies. One day, however, he received a request from a client who needed five bouncers for an event.
Realizing the potential of this opportunity, Lamar negotiated the deal and decided he would never earn as much working at the bank. This prompted him to resign from his banking job to fully commit to growing his Bouncers with Degree business.
Though his mother initially opposed his decision, Lamar proudly noted that she is now extremely proud of his success.
Lamar mentioned that he has been working with his six bouncers for the past two years.
Bouncers with Degree is a company that offers a variety of security services to individuals, businesses, and other organizations. Their services include guard services, alarm and surveillance systems, executive protection, and event security.
