I love my country so much to destabilise it – Freed ACP Agordzo

Embattled former Director of Transformation of the Ghana Police Service ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzo has stated he has learnt lessons from war-torn countries like Somalia, Sudan and Haiti will never derail the democratic gains made by the country as being accused.

The Police Chief who has been released on bail in a statement posted on his Facebook page: “Having spent about 6 years of my life in peace keeping missions in Sudan, Somalia and Haiti and witnessed how conflicts have ravaged those counties, I will be the last person to do anything to derail the strides we’ve made in democratic development”

He gave the assurance that he loves his country so dearly that he never ever do anything to disturb the relative peace being enjoyed in Ghana taking into account his experiences in other countries of the world.

Dr Benjamin Agordzo was on Tuesday granted a self recognisance bail to the tune of ¢500,000 by the Accra High Court pending a trial presided over by Justice Charles Ekow Baiden who ordered the embattled police chief to submit his passport to the Court Registrar.

Earlier there were reports the state intended appealing the bail but he was subsequently released and reunited with his family and wrote an article thanking those who lend their support to him in silence.
