Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister-Designate for Finance, has shared his vision for Ghana’s economy if confirmed.

Speaking during his vetting by Parliament’s Appointments Committee on January 13, Dr. Forson expressed his desire to be remembered as a minister who effectively reduced the cost of goods and services while ensuring economic stability.

He emphasized his commitment to revitalizing the economy and creating jobs, adding that he seeks divine guidance to achieve these goals.

“I want to be remembered as the one who helped to reduce prices, stabilised the economy and created jobs. That is what I ask God to help me to achieve.”

“On jobs, I have said that my responsibility as a minister responsible for finance is to raise the required revenue and allocate it in consultation with cabinet to sectors that will create the jobs. So, we will do just that. These are my priorities as a minister and we will work to achieve that in the shortest possible time.
