Oliver Barker- Vormawor who was the convener of Fix the Country Ghana has stirred a controversy on his recent advise on  marriage.

He advised that unmarried individual should avoid marriage before the age of 40 or avoid it completely.

The lawyer and activist who stirred the controversy in a post on his facebook wall has left has left his followers confused.

His numerous followers has expressed divergent views on the post with many agreeing to his assertion while others needs more clarification as they seem confused.

It has always been recommended that people marry young and start giving birth early in other to be able to Carter for the children while they are young and still have the strength not when they are old, tired and retired.

Barker vormawor has left some of his followers confused on why he should come up with such idea.

However, failed marriages and its trauma, the lessons from other peoples failed marriages as well as expensive weddings has made many young people scared of going into marriage or engaging in any form of commitment.

According to the 2022 Population and housing census report, it stated that approximately 405,090 people in Ghana have separated from their spouses, Compared to 553,065 who have their marriages dissolved.

This numbers are through interviews conducted by participants of the 2021 Population and housing Census conducted between June 27 to August 15, 2021
