At its 60th enrollment ceremony onto the roster of lawyers, the General Legal Council officially welcomed more than 1,000 newly trained lawyers into the Ghana Bar.
Annually, the General Legal Council convenes a formal gathering to enroll candidates who have successfully passed their professional law examinations conducted by the Ghana School of Law, subsequent to the certification of their results. The General Legal Council certifies these new lawyers, allowing them to embark on their legal careers within the country.
Prominent members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) were notable participants in the 60th enrollment and induction into the Ghana Bar.
This momentous event took place at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, October 20, 2023. Among the distinguished NPP figures called to the Ghana Bar during this 60th enrollment were Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and former Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom.
