Iñaki Williams was unstoppable on Thursday night as Athletic Bilbao secured a comfortable 2-0 Europa League victory against AZ Alkmaar at San Mamés.
Iñaki Williams was in exceptional form on Thursday night as he played a crucial role in Athletic Bilbao’s 2-0 Europa League victory against AZ Alkmaar at San Mamés.

He was set up by his brother Nico in the 72nd minute, marking the duo’s impressive combination that gave Bilbao the lead.
Nico later doubled his assist tally, providing a pass to Oihan Sancet just five minutes from the end, securing Bilbao’s first win of the season.
After a challenging start to the season, Iñaki has now scored twice and registered four assists in his last six matches for the club. Before the international break in September, he had struggled to contribute offensively for Los Leones.
However, his three assists against Las Palmas after the break helped him regain his best form, making him one of Bilbao’s most in-form players as they approach another international break in October.
Iñaki will aim to assist the Black Stars in achieving their first victory in the 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign when they face Sudan on October 11.
