In India, two girls aged 14 and 15 were dragged into the forest and gang-raped by eight men for several hours, until they passed out.
This is said to have happened on Monday, March 29, 2021 in Khowai, Tripura, when the victims had gone out with the group of men aged 19-22, in celebration of Holi (Festival of Love).
As reported, the two girls failed to return home in the evening the festive celebrations, which caused an uproar in the community.
The eight men had allegedly took the girls to a nearby forest and raped them in turns until they unwillingly passed out.
The victim did not return until Tuesday morning, bearing series of Tuesday morning and was injured. They were therefore rushed to the hospital, where they received treatments.
The victims, who could barely speak, were able to explain the horrific event to their parents, who called the police. The criminals are Bimal Debbarma, Soyel Debbarma, Michael Debbarma, Nishit Debbarma, Biresh Debbarma, Jagu Debbarma, Bikash Debbarma and Hrishit Debbarma.
Confirming the ordeal, an officer said : “The accused took the girls to a forest and gang-raped them through the night. When they passed out, the men left presuming them to be dead.”
