The National Association of Institutional Suppliers (NAIS) has announced plans to stage a two-day picket at the Ministry of Education from Wednesday, November 20 to Thursday, November 21, in protest of unpaid arrears.

In a letter sent to the Ghana Police Service on Tuesday, November 12, the association notified the authorities of their intention to picket at the Ministry’s premises.
The NAIS claims the government has yet to settle arrears dating back to 2022-2023, and full payments for services rendered during the 2023-2024 period are also still outstanding.
Despite numerous efforts to recover the funds, the association states that their attempts have been unsuccessful.
Expressing frustration with the Education Ministry’s actions, the NAIS criticized the potential denial of future contracts, which they say could severely impact businesses, employees, and the local garment industry.
While the association remains committed to working with the Ministry and other stakeholders to support education policies, it insists that this collaboration cannot continue under financial uncertainty.
