Recently, she stirred up a storm with her candid criticism of actors resorting to online begging. Now, Jaiye Kuti emerges once again, with an unwavering resolve to address the backlashes head-on.

Jaiye Kuti, a popular veteran Nollywood actress (Yoruba), known for her exceptional talent and strong-willed nature, has always been a vocal advocate for self-reliance and professionalism within the acting industry. Her recent remarks regarding actors seeking financial assistance through online platforms sparked heated debates, and opinions were sharply divided. Yet, undeterred by the controversy, Jaiye Kuti stands by her stance and is ready to shed light on her perspective.

In her earlier video making rounds online, Jaiye Kuti expressed her displeasure about Nollywood actors and actresses coming online, in her words “why’s that social media has been turned to a begging platform, most especially from the Yoruba sector, you have to create your pension yourself”

Based on her, this act is in a way creating bad names for nollywood industry and it has to stop, because right from time they were supposed to have invested or save up while the sun was still shinning upon them

However, her outburst generated and garnered lots of backlash from netizen, owing to this reason, she then responded with another video clarifying and explaining what she meant in the former video and how some had actually misinterpreted her words “it’s not that we shouldn’t we shouldn’t use social media to suport or help people, but my message is for those who wants to tarnish the industry name with begging”

What do you feel about about her take?, sense or nonsense?
