The Tema-West constituency has entered a new political era as James Enu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, has been declared the Member of Parliament-elect by the district electoral commissioner.

This historic victory marks the first time an NDC candidate has won the Tema-West parliamentary seat, breaking the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 28-year dominance in both presidential and parliamentary elections in the constituency.
Enu secured a decisive win with 49,225 votes, defeating Dennis Amfo-Sefah of the NPP, who garnered 27,618 votes.
In his acceptance speech at the collation center, Enu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the constituents for their trust and support. He pledged to serve with dedication and work tirelessly to address the needs of the people.
