Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized that political campaigns should be focused on presenting an account of stewardship or on offering superior policies and programs to address development challenges.

Speaking at Bodi in the Western North Region on October 3, 2024, she stated that insults and name-calling have no place in politics, as they only breed unnecessary tension and enmity.

She urged politicians to focus on development as the main reason for voting, highlighting the importance of showing tangible achievements rather than just making promises.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also reiterated the NDC’s commitment to initiatives such as an ultramodern children’s hospital, free sanitary pads for girls, free breast cancer screenings, and the continuation of abandoned cocoa road projects.

She also assured that a future NDC government would restore the free fertilizer program and offer a fair producer price to cocoa farmers.
