Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has introduced his “Pathway” project, a new initiative aimed at empowering Ghanaian youth to pursue their dreams, both in football and other areas.

During a visit to Ghana over the holidays, Frimpong shared his vision for the project while attending a community football event in Dansoman.

“It’s all about the youth because they are the future. We want to help them with not only football but with anything they aspire to be. Pathway is like a company offering various services, and football is one of those areas we focus on,” he told 3 Sports.

The 24-year-old wing-back, who played a key role in Bayer Leverkusen’s historic unbeaten Bundesliga title win last season, expressed confidence in Ghana’s vast talent pool. He hopes his Pathway project will help nurture and guide these promising young individuals.

Born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents and raised in England from the age of seven, Frimpong has forged an impressive career, and now seeks to provide similar opportunities to Ghana’s next generation.

After developing at Manchester City’s academy, he has gone on to become a key player for the Dutch national team, earning 10 caps since choosing to represent his birth country.
