Joana Gyan Cudjoe has been re-elected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central.
Her re-election was confirmed by acclamation after her main competitor, the incumbent MP Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah, withdrew from the race following the vetting process on Saturday.
Ackah’s decision to step down allowed Cudjoe to be elected unopposed.
Of the 1,490 delegates expected at the Amenfi Central Constituency meeting, 1,430 were present at the election or acclamation event on Sunday.
