John Dumelo, NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has apologized for accusing MP Lydia Seyram Alhassan of killing her husband to gain power.
He made the remark on live TV, suggesting she might have been involved in her husband’s death.
The comment sparked outrage, and Dumelo retracted his statement, saying, “I apologize and retract the comments I made earlier today on TV3.”
Alhassan replaced her late husband in parliament and has faced allegations of orchestrating his death, which she has not addressed. Dumelo’s apology comes after facing criticism on social media.
