Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has lambasted Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for attempting to distance himself from Ghana’s economic woes.
Mahama emphasized that Bawumia, as head of the Economic Management Team, has been at the forefront of the country’s economic struggles.
He stressed that the presidency is a serious responsibility and cannot be reduced to mere comedy or jokes.

Mahama highlighted the urgent challenges facing Ghanaians, emphasizing that the upcoming election cannot be trivialized.
He argued that the presidency requires seriousness and accountability, especially given the current difficulties facing the nation.
Mahama dismissed the politics of deception and sloganeering, stating that Ghanaians will not tolerate such conduct.
He criticized Bawumia’s attempt to claim credit for achievements while denying responsibility for the government’s failures, labeling it an insult to the electorate’s intelligence.
Mahama promised that his administration would investigate and reclaim stolen state lands and properties, accusing the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government of widespread corruption and dispossession of state assets.
He vowed to ensure that these lands are reclaimed for the state, emphasizing that such actions cannot continue unchecked.
