Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s running mate, has called on former Members of Parliament, Ministers, and MMDCEs from the Kufuor and Akufo-Addo administrations to leverage their political experience for the Bawumia 2024 Campaign.

During a meeting with former MPs and appointees from the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East regions on August 23, 2024, in Sunyani, Dr. Prempeh urged them to set aside any past disagreements with the party.
He emphasized that the party’s interests must take precedence, and unity is crucial for achieving victory in 2024.
Acknowledging that some may have grievances, Dr. Prempeh stressed the importance of focusing on the party’s goals and moving forward together.
He also requested regional executives to actively involve these former appointees and MPs in the campaign structure to enable their meaningful contributions.
Kwame Baffoe, the NPP Regional Chairman for the Bono region, thanked Dr. Prempeh for the initiative and committed to ensuring full participation from all members.
Dr. Prempeh also indicated plans to extend similar engagements to other regions to strengthen the party’s efforts for the upcoming election.
Additionally, he attended a Women’s Wing meeting, where he pledged support for their activities.
