Joshua Ansah succeeds Yaw Baah as TUC Secretary General

Joshua Ansah has been elected as the new Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), succeeding Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah. Ansah, the former Deputy Secretary General, was elected unopposed following Dr. Baah’s departure.

The election was held at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa Fetteh, Central Region.

In addition, Bernard Owusu has been appointed as the new Chairman of the TUC. Owusu, who previously served as National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU), takes over from Alex Opoku-Nyarko.
