The incident, which occurred over a land dispute, has sparked outrage and concern. According to reports, the deceased soldier was shot and killed on the spot by an alleged land guard, who is also a sub-chief.

The trio was reportedly on their way to file a report at the Millennium City Police at the Central East Command regarding the land issue when they were ambushed.
The owner of 21st Century Construction Company, Kofi Asmah, who sold the disputed land, has accused the police at Millennium City of corruption and failure to effectively address the situation.
