Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has revealed the cause of her strained relationship with Nigerian musician Davido.
According to her, the musician disregarded her at a public event when she attempted to exchange greetings.
Her comments, initially shared in a December 2023 interview, have since generated discussions among fans and in the media.
In a previous interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Kate Henshaw discussed her admiration for Davido’s music but acknowledged a lack of personal connection with him.
During the interview with Chude Jideonwo, Kate Henshaw recalled a particular encounter where she and Davido crossed paths, but Davido did not acknowledge her presence.
She expressed, “Well, I’m not a fan. I like his music, but I don’t know him. I’ve met him; he didn’t greet me. I’m sorry. No, I’m not sorry. I’m old enough. He didn’t greet, and for me, I believe he should be respectful. For me, personality matters.”
During her recent appearance on Isbae U’s show “Curiosity Made Me Ask,” Kate Henshaw revisited the topic.
When questioned about why she brought up Davido not greeting her, Henshaw clarified that she was simply responding to a question during the interview and had no intention of creating a controversy.
“I was asked a question, and I answered it. I didn’t lodge any complaint; I merely responded to the question.
What does ‘report’ even mean?” Henshaw expressed, displaying her frustration with how her comments had been perceived.
She continued, “They asked about him, and I shared my knowledge and experience. I didn’t file a report, and we even spoke afterward, so it’s really not your concern. This is what people do; they seek conflict.”
The segment ended on a light note when Isbae U playfully brought in a Davido lookalike, who knelt before Henshaw to humorously apologize on behalf of the singer.
