Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Doctors have called off their indefinite strike after engaging in several meetings with stakeholders and management of the facility.
The doctors laid down their tools on Wednesday, March 13, over accommodation challenges after claims that 20 of their colleagues were being evicted from their bungalows.

It would be recalled that their decision to strike was triggered when more than 20 of their colleagues received eviction notices to leave their current residences at Danyame in the Ashanti Regional Capital,Kumasi.after an emergency meeting, the doctors unanimously agreed to strike in support of their colleagues.
Meanwhile,it was reported that the strike action affected healthcare delivery at the facility leaving several patients stranded and frustrated.
Management of the hospital following the development led series of meetings with the striking doctors and other stakeholders to resolve the issues.
The doctors after the meeting said they had assurances from the management and agreed to call off the strike.
