With just three and a half months remaining before the crucial December 7 polls, members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been urged to defy any intimidation attempts by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and come out in large numbers to vote.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP’s Vice-Presidential Candidate, made this call during a community engagement in Jema, Bono East Region.

He emphasized the party’s readiness to resist any attempts by the NDC to discourage NPP supporters from voting on December 7 through intimidation.

This warning follows alleged plans by the NDC to instigate violence in NPP strongholds to reduce voter turnout.

“No one can intimidate us. Even in opposition, no one could intimidate us, so how much more now? All of you should go out, campaign, and be prepared to vote in large numbers for Dr. Bawumia and your parliamentary candidates for a resounding victory,” said NAPO.

He highlighted that the NPP’s campaign had been effectively executed, with the party’s messages resonating well with the electorate, particularly regarding the NPP’s achievements in government and the vision and hope offered by Dr. Bawumia, the NPP Presidential Candidate.

Dr. Prempeh elaborated on the NPP’s vision for job creation, healthcare, housing, the economy, education, industrialization, energy, poverty alleviation, and more.

He stressed that these plans, backed by solid facts and figures, have been well-received and endorsed by voters.

He also noted the NPP’s outstanding record in the constituency, with significant progress made in sectors such as roads, education, health, water and sanitation, agriculture, and energy under President Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

Alex Gyan, the Member of Parliament for Kintampo South, added that the electorate is highly appreciative of his work during his first term, particularly the major projects he personally funded.

Chief of Jema, Nana Amponsah Gyan, commended the government for the various developmental projects initiated in the area and called for peace ahead of the December polls.

He expressed confidence that the NPP’s track record in the area would contribute to their success in the upcoming elections.
