Ghana and West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus is in contention to make his Premier League return against Leicester City on Tuesday after serving a five-game ban.

Kudus has not played in the Premier League since October 19, when he scored in West Ham’s London derby against Tottenham Hotspur before being sent off. The midfielder received a late red card after poking Spurs’ Micky van de Ven in the face and pushing Pape Matar Sarr.

These incidents resulted in a three-game ban, and after a review by the Football Association, Kudus was charged with violent conduct, leading to an additional two-game suspension and a £60,000 fine.

As a result, Kudus missed matches against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, Everton, Newcastle, and Arsenal.

However, he featured for Ghana in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification matches against Niger and Angola. Kudus could now be included in West Ham’s squad for Tuesday’s Premier League clash with Leicester City.

With two goals in eight league appearances, Kudus will be eager to add to his tally when given the chance.
